Traffic Swarm
- I use Traffic Swarm and the advertising does convert a few sales for me. TS25 Adland
internet classifieds. I like it.
NOTE: If you are
advertising with affiliate programs some browsers have ad blocking
capabilities built in or as an add on. Check your adds with an ad blocker on
so you can see what ads work and what ads don't. No sense losing revenue
because a visitor can't see them.
Tips and Hints:
A:) Don't make a sales letter / landing pages have a look like they are
slapped together including the written copy since this may put off some make
sure that you are not putting links to other products. I know for a fact that if
I see other links to other products on the sales page I won't promote the
product. What it does is dilute the sales for affiliates. Also there is a
possibility that the potential customer will go somewhere else and purchase a
product other than yours.
Make the copy of your sales letter enticing, find all your typos (spelling
mistakes) and make them disappear.
Find successful sites on ClickBank etc. and see how they do it. Check out the
sales letters they use and use them as a guide, NEVER COPY since you would
violate copyright laws. (A big NO NO).
Use legitimate testimonials, never fake testimonials. Make sure that everything
on your site is honest and true. Even though PT Barnum said there is a “Sucker
Born every minute” lying reduces your personal self worth. If your legitimate
testimonials are not convincing talk to the person who wrote the testimonial and
give them some guidance in how you would like the testimonial to be written.
Again if it is a testimonial it has to be written by the person who gave the
testimonial.
When writing a sales page/ landing page you need to get across the point they
are getting a massive amount of value for money.
B): When making a sales letter or landing page try to capture the
visitors email address with an offer they just can't refuse. For example offer a
discount or a free report, ebook or some other incentive. Also use a double
optin method when getting the email addresses. Once you have a mailing list you
can send emails to the subscribers as often as you would like without spamming.
Make sure they know that they are being added to your newsletter for the SPECIAL
OFFER.
By Getting their email address you can offer other products over and over again.
Can you hear the cash register go Cha-ching.
C:) If you are setting up a site to sell a product then test it before
you recruit affiliates. It would be sad for affiliates to spend there hard
earned money on a site that doesn't work.
D:) Don't bother too much with products that have rights to Resell the
product. Unless you are going to use the product yourself. The problem with
“Master Reselling Rights” is that unless you are the first person in the loop
which you probably are not you will have so much competition. Generally what
happens is a person gets the Reselling Rights and the puts it on eBay for 99
cents or something like that. It just makes it hard to resell a product when
someone else is selling it for a lot less then you are.
E:) When selling a product give a 30 – 90 day 100% satisfaction money
back guarantee if they don't find something useful and use a fancy looking logo
/ seal on the sales letter / landing page. It can put a person at ease when they
know the product can be returned if they don't like it or it is of no value to
them.
The reality is that only a few will return the product or take advantage of your
generosity to return the product.
Email the “Gurus” who would be interested in your product and try to Joint
Venture with them. I have included an ebook dealing with Joint Ventures as a
resource with this ebook.
G:) Research courses on how to make with affiliate programs. There is no one all
inclusive resource, course, information on making it online but you can glean
valuable information from almost anything. I remember my father said about a
person who he felt was wrong, a broken clock is right twice a day. So even if a
newsletter, ebook, report or article is poorly written and inaccurate there may
be something you can learn from it.
H:) Look for a market that people are hungry for information. Solve their
problem and they will pay for the information. Once this is done find the most
cost effective way to get Hungry People to Your Information.
I:) If you find something that works for you remember the words: Repeat, Repeat
and Repeat. But if something changes in the PPC search engines or something else
where you are no longer effective and you are getting no traffic from what you
have previously repeated then remember these words: Delete, Delete and Delete
with the addition of Search, Find, Change and Adapt.
Alternatively, if the newbie didn't want to risk spending any money with PPC
programs, they could use the bum marketing method (article writing &
submission), forum marketing, eBook rebranding, word-of-mouth, blogs, or any of
the other free publicity marketing methods out there.
J:) Write Articles and distribute them. Create a blog. Do offline advertising.
Etc. I know you are going to say you are repeating yourself but it is important.
Take time each day to work on your online business. Just a few minutes should be
effective.
K:) How to lose money by following these steps: Advertise willie nillie, make
bad landing pages, not targeting the right audience, not using optin forms,
people who don't get your big picture, ingnoring the newbies. Though I would
throw this one in to see if you are still reading.
Negative Bad – Positive Good.
Now delete K:) from your memory.
L:) Use autoresponders to build your business.
M:) Build a list. Use www.aweber.com or www.getresponse.com or any other of the
various companies out there that will help you build your optin lists. Send out
regular newsletters to gain the trust of your reader once trust is gained then
they will more likely purchase something you are promoting. If you abuse them by
sending newsletters out too many times with sales pitches may cause a subscriber
to unsubscribe.
O:) Find ezines that you can your send articles to that will allow you to put
your affiliate links at the bottom of your article.
P:) Create ebook with no Fluff.
Q:) Offer you ebook or product with a high commission rate to affiliates at
launch time then drop the commission rate once the product is established.
R:) If you learn one new technique from an ebook you have purchased and apply
that information then the ebook will be of great value to you.
S:) If you are promoting an ebook from ClickBank as an affiliate find one that
has a gravity of say 15-110. If the gravity is too low there may not be enough
interest in the product and if it is too high then it is difficult to brake into
the market.
T:) Were to Advertise make sure you go by the rules of any group or site you are
advertising to: Social Networks, Business Networks, Groups and Clubs, RSS Feeds,
Blogs, Websites, Forums, Newsgroups, IM, emails, articles, classified ads,
search engines, giveaways, podcasts, videos, YouTube (I have included a book on
this subject as a resource. It will help you in the area of videos.) comment on
blogs, traffic exchanges if you don't have anything else to do (waist of time),
trade ads, trade links, make press releases, ezine advertising, if you have an
ezine then see if you can swap advertising with another ezine, find JV's to work
with, make press releases and release them and best of all Tell A Friend.
U:) People who fail: Give up after failure, don't take responsibility for their
actions, don't run tests, look for short cuts, fail because of not performing
due diligence on the product they are selling, not monitoring their PPC
advertising, feeling that get rich schemes are the best thing around and they
don't have to work for their money. Online marketing like any career requires know how, dedication and education to
succeed. In other words: Blood, Sweat and Tears.
Is there a sure way for success? NO – But with the proper attitude, education
and guidance you will have a better chance at being successful.
Apply – Learn – Tweak
V:) Reading Suggestions: Read books on: Basic Marketing / Internet Marketing, How to Write Sales Copy or Copy writing,
Web Design, SEO, any topics in regard to Pay Per Click advertising and this
would be just a beginning.
W:) Analyze the results of your campaigns your click troughs and ROI for each
page every 1-3 days. This will save you costs if a campaign is not working. Then
make appropriate changes or drop the campaign. No shame in stopping something
that is not working. Once you find a keeper move onto another campaign.
X:) One of the best ebooks on Adwords is www.perrymarshall.com another good
ebook is one that is included in our resource material is Brad Cullen's ebook
called “Google Adwords Made Easy”
Y:) A couple of tools for finding keywords can be found at:
http://conversion.7search.com/scripts/advertisertools/keywordsuggestion.aspx or
www.Spyfu.com
Z:) Having a problem with design or ad copy why not hire a designer. A good
place to outsource is a project is http://www.elance.com or you can visit
