Yes, but when I advertise within a forum how can I do it without being classified as a Forum Spammer. (really bad)
First don’t advertise your links within the body of the post this could be classified as a self serving post (spam) which is taboo on most forums etc. Although there may be a spot in the forum to advertise whatever but this would depend upon each forum you may be able to or you may not. If you can don’t plaster the forum with numbers of posts that are self serving since again this is bad and can be classified as spam.
A way around the dilemma is to use a tool that is called a Forum Signature. Within a signature you usually can self promote and be able to put self serving links such as affiliate links, links to you site or blog and so forth.
That sounds great but how can I receive the most benefit from my Signature?
First write excellent posts that are pertain to the forum and become well known as a person who knows what they are talking about. Once that happens you will gain respect from within the forum and out of curiosity someone reading your post may become curious and then click on your link in your Signature.
Then second, try to decide what you want to promote. If it is an affiliate link only one or two links otherwise it just looks like you are hungry and when a person reading your post will think “not a chance”.
A great suggestion is to advertise your blog or website since you most likely will be advertising the affiliate program on your site with much more detail and better script writing (at least I hope so). The added benefit will be that search engines will see these back links links in the forum and say great more links which would increase your PR rating and increase the number of visitors you will receive to your blog or website.
