www.freeautobot.com is a free autoresponder and yes it is free but you do pay by all the advertising they have on their site. Free doesn’t necessarily mean free it either costs time or money. It also takes a bit of looking to find the code for your site but once you find it you should be able to add the code without too many problems.

Really something like aweber is better but if the budget isn’t their then you could use www.freeautobot.com

If you do have a budget I would suggest www.profitmart101.com/university and stay with it for at least 2 months because their training is quite good.

Sorry about the adsense I would delete the google adsense from your site.

As a replacement try http://www.cbproads.com/refer.asp?id=19558- It is like adsense but for clickbank products. Contextual advertising and much more.

You can join for free http://www.cbproads.com/refer.asp?id=19558 but they take part of the advertising or again if your budget allows for it you could upgrade the account. Join for free and see what I mean.

If you want free classified ads you can get two ads on http://www.usfreeads.com/16724_refer.html if you want to advertise more than this it will cost you.

If you are looking for help check out http://profitmart101.com/profitmart101_blog/?cat=535 I have a tutorial of some sort that may help you out, loads of info but the order may be somewhat mixed up but be patient.

To ProfitMart or Not to ProfitMart that is the Question. What is the Answer?

Since many mistake my sites for the ProfitMart.com site I get a number of questions that are quite interesting here is a question that was emailed to me earlier today and my reply.

The Question:

I tell you I would like to have edited my name in the question but for realism and accuracy of the question I left it in. It should be Bryan. ; )

My Answer:

I am a person just like you who has a ProfitMart.com site.

My ProfitMart.com sites are www.profitmart101.com (7 months old) & www.profitmartbydesign.com (about 1 month old). So if you stopped being a member before that I wouldn’t know what the difference would have been.

I have personally made money with the sites and it seems to work for me but it may not be for everyone.

Rick asked me to create 5 templates for their ProfitMart.com sites which I have done.

There have been improvements in the last bit like the templates I created but you could also create templates if you are familiar with design. One change to the system is that you could add any number of templates and this is a plus.

I also have a blog at www.profitmart101.com/profitmart101_blog and am generating natural traffic of about 100 uniques per day. The Blog is about 3-4 months old.

Plus I am adding an ad-server in the next month and have the live operator up and running. All these features are within the CPanel of a ProfitMart.com site.

I used co-op advertising to boost my sales.

If you are interested in another program that is quite good then please check www.profitmart101.com/university I really like it because of the information I gather from it.

But as far as ProfitMart.com goes I started with the long haul in view and felt that it would not make me any money in the first year but to my surprise I was in the black after the first month. When I look at a business and that is any business, brick and mortar or Internet I know there is a learning curve and usually profitability is about 1-3 years in the future. Remember the tortoise won the race not the rabbit.

So hopefully this info will help you make a decision.

And hopefully you can gather some great information from my reply and remember ProfitMart.com can be quite profitable.

Someone wrote “HELP” in a forum since they weren’t making money on the Internet.

You probably have seen a post like this one over and over again.

“I need some help or advise. I have set up my (name of site removed) site 2 weeks ago.” This person also submitted to search engines had sine visitors to their page and spent a large amount of time setting up the site and promoting the site and was getting frustrated because of no sales.

My response to the forum post was:

Two weeks is really a very small amount of time.

If you submit to search engines don’t expect an immediate response since they have to scan your site for things such as content, meta tags, images and the such. – Remember Content is King to rank in the top pages of search engines. I have had several top ranking keywords but these constantly change.

There are several methods of getting keywords to the top quickly even with free methods but remember free usually has a cost associated with them either your time or your money.

A free method that has worked for me since I have sold in the past using it is: www.trafficswarm.com/go.cgi?185253 and yes this is my affiliate link.

It took me about a month to receive my first sale and I was Co-op advertising with ProfitMart.com but after that period of time I started on the plus side of profit.

My goal was to make money within the first 6 months. I realize that money can be a problem but remember you are starting a new business.

Do you know the stats on when a new business starts to make money?

A standard business takes about 3 years before they are in the black. So be realistic with your goals.

One suggestion is to look for a niche that isn’t so competitive and unfortunately the “I want to make money” niche is probably the most difficult but if you can break into it, it is one of the most profitable.

Make goals such as try to make $1.00 in the first month and grow from their.

ProfitMart.com is a wonderful tool that can make you money but don’t expect the “I make $3,000 a day” to happen overnight since that kind of money has some costs associated with it and a large number of individuals will never reach a goal that high. (but there are some that do and that is the hook that catches some thinking they also can achieve this goal without the knowledge on how to do it.)

If though you are still having problems one great place to learn is www.profitmart101.com/university and no it’s not free and yes it costs but the information is quite good if it fits into your budget. If you can become a member stay for at least two months since they have a comprehensive 8 week course.

Yes I realize this may not be overly encouraging but think of it this way: Who won the race the tortoise or the hare?

The tortoise because he went at a slow and steady pace. The hare lost since went so fast and stopped to have a rest in a sense he flamed out.

Be the tortoise and hopefully your turtle shell will be stuffed full of paper um with dollar bills printed on it.

ProfitMart Announces New Templates for Their Membership

The announcement was that ProfitMart.com is going to be adding some new templates / skins for ProfitMart sites.

You can take a look at them at www.profitmartbydesign.com and vote for what you like best.

What you may not know about the templates is that there are some features that are new to the template.

1) The keyword that was typed in or clicked on will show up in the title of the page plus in the keywords for the page and the description of the page.

2) A home button.

3) The header photos or images are unique since they are either images I created or photos I have taken.

4) A page descriptor saying what page you are on ie. if you are on the Web Design Page then it will say “Web Design” on the page.

5) Plus there may be a possibility of a unique feature being added hopefully by next week you will know what it is. (Just to Keep you in Suspense.)

If you have any suggestions on what you would like to see in a template or feature let me know and who knows it may raise its head within a template.

Or if you have any suggestions please let me know what niches you would like to have a template for.

You may ask why I am doing this? adding templates.

I want ProfitMart to grow, flourish and keep members for a long, long, very long time. Mmmm you may say that sounds greedy, yup it is I like reoccurring commissions. Review – ProfitMart Part 5 of 5 – Reviews of Plugin to Profit Sites – Profitmart, CBMALL, 1st Promotion and CBProAds

I have been using ProfitMart since December 2007 ProfitMart is the most profitable of the Plug In to Profit Sites that I have found.

ProfitMart101 is the site that I started with in December 2007 I though oh yeah another system I may just make a few bucks to add to my other profit streams and if I could get a couple of subscribers then I would be happy …. but to my surpriseit worked. I did some advertising and started selling memberships to ProfitMart.

What is ProfitMart?

ProfitMartis a hosting package that has a Free Plugin Profit Web Site designed for your hosting.

ProfitMart has several built in profit streams: Amazon affiliate program, ClickBank, Google Adsense and eBay but you aren’t limited to just those programs which makes ProfitMart the perfect system for you, me and everyone. I use a number of other affiliate programs with my ProfitMart site.

You are not restricted to just the standard site you can modify the look and feel of the ProfitMart Template to almost anything you would like. Go to www.profitmartbydesign.com and you will see just a few examples of what I mean.

Another example of what you can us your ProfitMart site for is that I installed this blog www.profitmart101.com/profitmart101_blog on my ProfitMart hosting with the built in Cpanel software with the Fantastico De Luxe section of the Cpanel but there are a number of unique add ons that would enhance the site.

What I liked about ProfitMart:

• Completely modifiable
• Can turn off categories I have a moral detest for like adult related, gaming, occult etc.
• I can purchase or make my own skins
• There is a great forum with loads of help for the newbie
• Video tutorials
• Podcasts
• Webinars
• I can add things such as a WordPress blog or almost anything else

• There are a number of other features and advantages but I think you should find out them for yourself at profitmart.com
• I highly recommend it because unlike other programs I have tried it works very well for me.

What I didn’t like about ProfitMart:

• Well this is a tough one. I guess I would like to see better descriptions for the ClickBank products but that is just about all.

My Review Rating is: 4 3/4 stars out of 5 stars – Really, really, really good product.

How To STOP Affiliate Link “Hijackers”

Let’s face the facts!

Almost everyone online today is looking to make or save a
buck any way they can. In the past, most of the people who
clicked on your affiliate links used to purchase without a
second thought… but, as times get tougher online, it seems
a growing number won’t!

As money gets tighter and product prices rise, people who
know how to manipulate the system will sometimes replace
your affiliate ID with theirs and “hijack” your commissions.

Here’s an example:

Let’s say your affiliate link is
www.ebookaboutcats.com/?live-well.

Say the highjacker uses the affiliate ID of captain-hook.
What he would do is replace your ID with his, and buy from
the URL www.ebookaboutcats.com/?captain-hook.

The bottom line: the hijacker puts your money in his pocket.

In other cases, they can’t stand the thought of you “making
money off them” so they bypass you by simply chopping off
the end of your affiliate link that contains your ID.

Instead of buying from www.ebookaboutcats.com/?live-well,
the bypasser will simply “chop off” the affiliate ID at the
end and simply buy from the plain URL www.ebookaboutcats.com
–without your affiliate ID attached!

Either way, you get cheated out of your rightful commission.

To help you fight these affiliate link hijackers I offer a
couple of my best (proven and battle tested) tips, which
will at least confuse these “hijackers” and, in many cases,
often defeat and disarm them completely.

Side Note: If someone really, really wants to steal your
affiliate commission, they will find a way; however, most
hijackers are just opportunists who will only act if they
see an easy buck.

The first and cheapest way to hide your affiliate links is
using a javascript redirect page. This is where you hide
your affiliate link in a page on your site using a simple
javascript that redirects people to your affiliate link.

It works great not to expose your “naked” affiliate link in
your actual email messages and ezine ads, but, once people
get redirected to the true affiliate link, many affiliate
programs expose the affiliate link along with your ID in the
browser address bar.

Here’s an example of a redirect script in action.

Notice how the link takes you to a page where you can see my
affiliate ID, ebookfire, in your web browser’s address bar.

Like it or not, someone can replace my ID with theirs and
“hijack” the commission… but at least the redirect script
keeps them from immediately seeing my “naked” affiliate link
(http://hop.clickbank.net/?ebookfire/ebksecrets) when I
publish it in my newsletter, email, or on my website.

You can get free redirect scripts just about anywhere you
find free javascripts. Here is the script I use

http://www.ebookfire.com/jrs.shtml.

A better way to hide your affiliate links is using a zero-
frame or “invisible” frame that masks the affiliate link by
making it appear you are sending people to a page on your
website. In reality, you are actually sending them to your
affiliate link.

This is the technique used by those “sub-domain” redirect
services that provide you with urls like

http://ese.ebookfire.net.

While giving someone a link like that is much better than
using a “naked” affiliate link such as
http://hop.clickbank.net/?ebookfire/ebksecrets, there is a
problem. As soon as someone does a “view >> source” in their
web browser they’ll see your naked affiliate link plain as
day… which instantly blows your cover!

Currently the best way to protect your affiliate commissions
from ruthless hijackers is to use a combination of a zero-
frame page along with URL encryption. This involves sending
someone to URL that looks like a page on your site, but
actually pulls in your affiliate link like those “sub-
domain” services. However, there’s one critical
difference…

If someone does a “view >> source” in their browser, you
have added protection in that all they will see is a jumble
of computer code (&#104;&#116;&#116;&#112;&#58;) instead of
your naked affiliate link.

Side Note: Beware of cloaking scripts that use javascript
because they could malfunction in some web browsers.

Here’s the bottom line: if you are going to sell through
other people’s affiliate programs, never send a “naked”
affiliate link… you’re just asking for people to hijack or
bypass you if you do.

Though nobody has a 100% perfect solution to this problem,
if you want to get paid more often through your affiliate
links, make sure it’s not obvious you’re referring people to
an affiliate link. If they can’t easily see how to hijack or
bypass your link, a lot more people who would have taken the
money out of your pocket just go ahead and buy through your
link – which is, after all, the whole point!
