10 Tips to Receive Repeat Web Traffic

1. One very important thing to do is to update your website pages frequently. Sites that aren?t updated are quite often dropped by search engines. Suggestion put a date counter on the page showing the date you last updated the page.

2. When your website offers additional value it helps bring a person back to your site again and again. Ask partners to put links their site and products on your site (as long as they don?t conflict or are in direct competition to products you sell or offer.) and then ask them to do the same.

3. Have a way a customer to can opt in so they can get discounts and specials. Invite the customer to receive a newsletter or possibly coupons.

4. Add a script that will add your page to the Favorites or to Book Mark the page so you can have a customer come back to you site easily.

5. To receive more traffic add a link / script for ?Recommend this site to a Friend? so the visitor to your site can send your url to a friend. In the email you can add a title that might say ?Thought you would be interested in this? and a short description about your site and why your friend would be interested in the site.

6. Site branding is quite important when a site is not consistent IE. Colors, logos, slogans and so forth a visitor can be confused and not know it he is still on your site. Always add a Contact Us link on each and every page so the client can get in touch with you easily. Some clients would prefer to place an order by telephone that to place it on the Internet

7. Always have a Policies and a Privacy Page this defines how you deal with customers. Having these published helps clients know they are secure when the are on your site.

8. Make up a FAQ page that clarifies information about your product, company and anything that may be a question in the minds of your customer. This helps address some doubts and clarifies to your client information about your company and product. It also helps reduce the number of emails and telephone calls you might receive from customers for more information.

9. You may think it takes too much time to add proper titles and keywords on your website but it is an important way for customers to find you and when they book mark your site an easy way to remember about you and your site. Plus when you use keywords it helps a customer find your site when they can?t remember where they put the book mark.

10. Here is a no brainer – Never spam someone who has opted for a newsletter from your company with unsolicited emails. If they want to opt out of your newsletter, honor that request. TAKE THEM OFF THE LIST. If you do this the person may still come back if they like your product or service. But one way to lose them would be to continue to send them emails that they don?t want to receive.
